As a family we had not cruised before. I had cruised over 25 years ago on a much smaller ship and was very sick at the time, but remember enjoying myself.

In our group were 3 Adults and 2 children.

I loved the experience from the second we boarded the ship. The staff were very friendly, mostly American's greeting us with their larger than life welcomes, but I liked that.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony Obstructed View

The cabin was small, but it did need to sleep 3 of us. It didnt matter, we weren't in it that much.

The cabin stewards were awesome, friendly and efficient.

We had views of the lifeboats just below our balcony but honestly, that didnt bother us. We didnt spend much time on the balcony either, it was just nice to have the option to open the door for fresh air in the room.

It was really quiet in our room.

The only thing I didnt like was the really heavy doors, but I guess they are made that way for a reason!

Port Reviews

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

I pretty island with beautiful beaches. Great for snorkelling. A small market where you get off the boat with nice, friendly locals. Can use Aus $

Noumea

Didnt really appeal to me. Market where you get off the boat was OK, good selection of souvenirs. Not particularly cheap though. We took a bus which was a hop on hop off. Went to the aquarium which was awesome. Probably one of the best ones I have seen, even if it was small. It cost us $750 NCF each for 5 of us (about $50ish AUD) so it was pretty cheap.

We didnt spend a great deal of time on shore.
