If you are a Carnival cruiser then do not do this ship. My wife's scooter was very, very, very difficult to get into the veranda cabin.
All the handicapped had to stand for the safety brief whereas every other ship we have been on the handicapped met in a lounge so that hey could sit.
The Lido pool bar fountain was evidently cleaned thoroughly but not adequately rinsed - the fountain drinks tasted of cleaning agent for several days. The food in the buffet was overcooked and over spiced. The food in the dining room was very good and we never had to wait for an "open seating" setting.
The cabin was not very friendly to my wife's scooter. The steward' shoved the beds together and we could squeeze it in on the side of the bed. He offered to "house it" and we could contact him when we needed it but this wasn't deemed very reasonable to us. Cabin temp was adjustable and after coming to the room from any venue on the ship it felt good that we had the selector on HEAT.
When we rolled on into the embarkation area we were shown right through and this was probably the easiest embarkations we have ever participated in. Kudos to all the fine ladies that work this part of the cruise.
My wife and I took an independent small shuttle bus tour and visited all the sites in New and old San Juan. Again, I did not get to see the El Moro fortress - my fault as we were given the opportunity to get out and visit but we were anxious to return to the ship.
