Hello! I'm reading these past few reviews about the Splendour and it's almost as if the other posters were on a different ship. We sailed a 7 day cruise from Venice departing on October 3, 2015. It was an absolutely amazing week. We have cruised many times before and this was our 5th cruise in Europe. The last 4 being on Azamara and this one on RCCL's Spendour. We were so pleasantly surprised at how top notch everything was on our voyage. We had a balcony cabin on deck 6 which was a great central location.. 3 decks below the Wind Jammer and 2 decks above the Diamond Lounge. The Splendour is one of RCCL's smallest ships and that's one reason why the cruise was so great. Even though it was a full voyage I never felt like we had to wait on line for anything. Whether it was in the dining room for dinner or at the buffet for lunch or to get off the ship for a port there was never a long line. The staff all around was stellar! Every single crew member that we encountered that week was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our Cabin attendant was amazing too.. just the nicest. We are Diamond members and the lounge was absolutely awesome!! The concierge there was the best.. so sweet, helpful and super friendly. The waiter who served the drinks at night was wonderful too. They have a complimentary happy hour from 5 - 8:30 every night and the sparkling wine and hard cider were our faves. The ports were great.. loved them all. Took a ship's tour in Athens and it was super interesting and well organized. We just wandered around Corfu and Mykonos which was perfect. We took another ship's tour in Argostoli where the highlight was the cave with sunken lake. Embarkation and debarkation was well organized as were our RCCL transfers to and from the airport in Venice. It's such a shame that RCCL is not having cruises on this ship past March of next year. It's an oldie but a goodie.. that's for sure. For the very reasonable price we paid we got SO MUCH enjoyment out of our cruise on the Splendour. Thanks RCCL for an outstanding week!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin D3 6022
The cabin was as spacious and modern as any larger and newer ship that we have sailed on. The location on deck 6 was great.. just down the hall from the photos.. very centrally located for the entire ship.
Deck 7 Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins, Balcony Cabins
