This was our first time to cruise and it was a celebration for our 25th anniversary. We drove down from WV the day before and stayed at the Hampton's "Snooze and Cruise". On the ship, the food was fantastic and the crew was great! I just can't say enough about our room steward and the dining room staff. We are in our late 60's and it was easy to travel around the ship. Loved being seated with others at dinner with "your time dining". We met so many very nice people from all over the world. The entertainment was great, especially the "Motown" group. We attended a military get together one afternoon since my husband is retired military and I was very surprised at how much effort the ship put into having us meet each other with tea, sandwiches and a small dessert!
Our shore excursion (Underwater Exployer) was reasonably priced and didn't take a lot of walking to get to it. Embarkation and disembarkation were handled very well. You just have to be patient and wait. The seas were a little rough the whole trip and we did rock a lot but we handled it well. There was also a medical emergency after leaving Charleston and we had to divert to Jacksonville which took a few hours but it was all handled very efficiently and we were kept informed by the Captain the entire time. The Fantasy is a little old and needing some tender loving care soon but over all, we could not have asked for a better trip! Planning for one next year!
The cabin was great and having a window to see the ocean and moon and stars at night was wonderful!
We drove to Charleston and stayed at the Hampton Inn's "Snooze and Cruise"…. great bargain!
Great trip….the guy was such a great speaker. Took us all around the harbor and told us about it, then took us below and we saw all kinds of fish! Good price and it wasn't far to walk to and from the ship.
