I'd like to add a voice of agreement with the negative critique entitled "Ma ma hu hu" posted April 2015. My husband and I also were on the same cruise, and it really was a major disappointment from our past experiences with Princess. We had the same experience and opinions as stated in "Ma ma hu hu" as it relates to service, itinerary, excursions, Hong Kong Terminal and especially the Buffet Court which was truly a complete mess and disaster.
We also had a similar experience in the lack of responsiveness and caring by Ship's Management. On about the 4th day of the cruise we began to detect a distinct sewage odor in a few places on board the ship. Over the next several days, the odor became increasingly strong and more offensive over a broader area of the ship. It was not limited to just inside the ship, but clearly evident on the outside decks in the open air. We brought this complaint to Front Desk management on two occasions, and they simply acknowledged that they had been made aware of it and it was being taken care of. Over the remainder of the cruise, it was never resolved and the offensive odor persisted.
After we returned home, we received a call from Princess Customer Service regarding the Post-trip Evaluation Survey we had submitted. We welcomed the opportunity to talk to them further to share what we thought was constructive feedback. Instead, we were greeted with a very defensive posture and again seemingly uncaring attitude.
