Cabin: Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom

For years NCL has been our favorite cruise line. 30 cruises in all, Platinum latitude members. The Jewel class ships in our opinion were the best at sea. Comfort, views , crew friendliness, food and entertainment all A-One. The Breakaway, Getaway and judging by deck design the Escape are mediocre at best. Crowded, understaffed, noisy and lacking sea views these ships were not designed to please passengers, but increase the bottom line. Imagine a casino on an open deck with cigarette smoke spreading to the specialty restaurants. No mid ship elevators. Cabins not cleaned at 9PM. An art gallery that blocks the main deck to shows and restaurants. An atrium with loud music adjacent to guest services, the library, and latitude loyalty desk {no private office} Impossible to hear conversations or read books in library. Reservations necessary and often unavailable for shows in the theater and smaller venues. We have since completed an absolutely wonderful cruise on the Gem, a Jewel class ship. Norwegian needs to use focus groups of passengers. At least speak to the Captain whose reply was "they give us the hardware, they don't seek our opinion. We cannot fix structural defects". Haven and more forward balcony staterooms have eliminated sea view, lounges and restaurants. As for the outside dining venues, not of any use when the Caribbean temperatures hit 90s in April, May, and summer months.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom

Comfortable , but not made up at a reasonable time. Cabin staff overworked.
