After our very first cruise, Costa in the Caribbean, which was ok, the islands are beautiful, but even though you have a luxury cabin, there are no privileges, no priority and no flexibility ! and it cost a bomb ! we said never again ! family persuaded us to try again with MSC Yacht Club, well what a difference ! it was just great, the mediterranean this time, early booking gives you half price for the second adult, senior discounts, etc. 70 luxury cabins, lovely staff falling over you with smiles and speaking a minimum of 4 languages, i thought i had gone to heaven ! you have a Yacht Club card which gives you priority in the lift and you have access to all the rest of the ship, but the 3,000 other guests can not come into the Yacht Club spaces, area, they do not have the same card, frustrating for some as they try and try again and wonder why they can't get in, as the partitions are glass !
we are treated like royalty, you can hardly get your bum on a seat and staff come up asking what we would like ! they have a special uniform, very smart, private restaurant, free dining times, private jacuzzi(2), private pool, private deck and buffet outdoor dining, the food was just too much ! in the restaurant and on deck, fine dining ! we went to the other buffet just to see how the others dine, it was the usual, by the time you get a free table, space, the food is cold and the noise is deafening ! you buy something and they call your butler to deliver it to the cabin ! and the embarkation, special for MSC Yacht Club, a lounge apart, red carpet (no it was blue) champagne , petits fours, snacks, chocolates !!! no queuing ! escorted aboard ! the best is that you pay for your cabin and ALL is included, eat and drink all day and night, if that is your thing! not mine ! no substitute alcohol, all brands, free mini bar, in your cabin! i could go on and on !
a special thanks to our designated waiters, Daniele, and Zvonimir ! and Fernando in the Top Sail Lounge, the best cocktails, and Dwi our cabin butler ! lovely people, very professional !
Excellent ! loved the decor, in good taste! walk in dressing, lots of hangers, drawers, shelves, bath and shower ! a cabin to spend a lot of time in, very relaxing, excellent bed !
no time ! it was our embarkation port !
know Barcelona ! too well !
visited friends !
been to Malaga many times !
nothing to see ! unless you go to Rome, and if you wanted to visit the port town, no taxis, very disappointing, yes there were shuttle buses, but by the time you got on one, it was time to be thinking about coming back, the only port with no taxis !
