We have been on 15+ cruises, several on Carnival so there were no surprises. We hosted 20 cruisers in a group to celebrate a birthday.
The Ship – Old, but well maintained. Elevators were frequently out of service. Occasionally for crew use but often it looked like they were trying to save electricity. Atrium elevators were the worst. Trivia games and musical entertainment were held near the bar that had a smoking wall and was next to the Casino (which had a lot of smoke overflow from the gamblers). Bad choice, the smell of smoke was unpleasant and made it very difficult to enjoy the experience. Most of Deck 8 smelled of smoke so the public rooms get a poor rating.
The Buffet – Food selection was good. The Wok was popular and had a long wait. On a sea day with rain it was difficult to find a seat.
Our party also occupied U205 and U203. Plenty of room and closet/storage space. The Air Condition control was fair and the lighting was good. Bathroom was large and the shower was excellent, lots of water. Separate controls for hot and cold made for easy temperature adjustment. Floor tiles need cleaning. Neighbor cabin complained of sewer smell on 2 occasions. Iwaxan was our steward for 3 cabins and did an excellent job.
Close parking. Fast and efficient boarding and return
