My husband and I traveled with another couple on the "empires if the Mediterranean" cruise. We were impressed with all facets of the cruise. ALL of the staff with whom we came in contact were always polite and friendly. Food was excellent as well. The state room was well appointed and we always had fresh towels. Plenty of storage also. On board lectures far exceeded our expectations. It was nice to be on a cruise with like minded passengers and not have the gambling/bar crowd. Most of the excursions were quite good. Would have like more time in Istanbul. All the tour guides were very capable and easily understood (despite the frequent headset issues). The old town of Dubrovnik was surprisingly unbelievable tour. Parthenon was extremely memorable. But I think Santorini - Oia - was the most breathtaking place! On board we really enjoyed spending time in the Viking living room and visiting. We had nice meals in the Italian dining room and chef's table. Wine tasting event was good also. BUT the Nordic spa was my favorite on board activity! Had the best pedicure ever! Absolutely loved the sauna/snow room experiences. It was a fabulous amenity. Well done Viking!

Joko took excellent care of us! Plenty of storage. Would have like to have had water bottles in the room and softer Kleenex. Also would have liked to have had music options on the television. Enjoyed the movies almost nightly. Having the lectures available on the tv was great option! But Internet access was subpar. We never found the on board binoculars. Also would have been nice to know ahead of time that Viking provided umbrellas when we exited the ship for excursions so we didn't have to bring the large red one from the room.
