We were very impressed with the condition and maintenance of the ship, and the overall design of interior public spaces including the atrium, theater and dining venues...really put one at ease about cruising (this was our first ocean cruise). The overall Viking Star experience gave us great value for the price of the cruise.

We could not have asked for more from the dedicated crew and staff who always provided us top service, whether in the dining venues or the Explorers desk or during our comings and goings from the ship while in port.

We were generally very pleased with the shore experiences with the exception of the "Inside the Acropolis" excursion. While we have no accessibility issues, it seems that a significant number of those with us were not physically prepared for the climb or the terrain on the Acropolis. In addition too much time was spent by our guide with anecdotal information, and not enough in describing the plan or providing us with free time for exploring on our own.

Cabin Review

Cabin with veranda

Overall outstanding design and comfort; extremely quiet with excellent lighting control; however the temperature control was not very sensitive.
