My husband and I have just returned from a cruise aboard Britannia to the Med. I was very sceptical having read the numerous bad reviews about the ship but we both went with an open mind. It is the second P & O ship we have been on and hoped this cruise would be better than our previous one. We had said we would never go on a P & O cruise again but decided to give Britannia a try. We had previously cruised with Princess and Seabourn.

As soon as we stepped aboard Britannia we loved it. The décor/colour schemes were beautiful and the whole feel of the ship was very classy. The art work was amazing.

We opted for a midships suite on B deck which was very comfortable with a floor to ceiling divider housing a large TV in the lounge area and on the reverse a further large TV facing a lovely comfortable queen bed. There was plenty of drawers and wardrobes and we were pleased to see dozens of hangers. We had 2 patio doors leading to a balcony with 2 little tables, 2 footstools and 2 chairs and there was plenty of space to sit. There was a separate toilet with washbasin with a door leading to the very well appointed bathroom with spa bath and large shower. Everything had been well thought out and there was plenty of space for toiletries etc. The whole suite was immaculate. Our butler, Arun, was very helpful and, Christopher, our steward kept the suite spotless.

Had visited Rome before so stayed in Civitavecchia.
