We spent 3 days in Barcelona before boarding. This allowed us to recover from jet lag. We really enjoyed Barcelona. we stayed near the Ramblas, enjoyed the tapas, watching tourists and visiting museums. Short taxi ride to the ship.

The previous cruise on this ship had a out break of the flu. Celebrity had a late boarding to sanitize the ship. Celebrity sent email messages to us advising of the delayed boarding. When we did board it was not hurried. We were welcomed with the usual boarding drinks and had a sitting area for us. When we were told we could use our room it was clean and we were met by our room attendants as though they had not been hurrying to accommodate us. Our ship stayed overnight in the harbor but we stayed aboard. We took local tours with Celebrity . Great having our own room to come back to. weather was cool and rainy for September in most stops. Montserrat not only had that but dense fog. Just part of the mystic of the place. We really enjoyed Lison. We went to a Flamingo and a Fada thru Celebrity . Flaminco great considering it was very early in the day and the Fada was appreciated as we did not understand the language but could sense the passion the singers were expressing.

Over all the cruise and tours from Celebrity were worth the value. We were on the waiting list for several of the tours we chose but by the day we had requested tickets became available. the evening entertainment was good to excellent. Interesting that on the tour of backstage we learned that Celebrity is changing the vender for the celebrity show to their own company soon. Hope they have the same great shows. One of the daily activities we tried was the watercolor class. that was fun.
