As stated on other reviews the ship is beautiful and to be honest the service in the bars is very good. Waiters polite and efficient. Unfortunately there were lots of negatives. Firstly it took two hours to board the ship, too many people and ques. Lots of prioritiey boarding andyactclub, so you get pushed back. The cruise is very noisy everywhere you go, contstantly people talking/shouting very loud. This includes the restaurant, spa and around the pool. I had to take paracetamol several times. Some of this was not MSC fault. It's the clientele on board and their general behaviour especially Italians and Spanish. For example we paid for passes for the spa for a whole week, we went once. The people were talking loudly and shouting in the relaxation area and steam rooms. Very rude with no thought for other people. I like some entertainment in the day but MSC take it to the extreme. Extremely loud music/ microphone for 6 hours a day! Lots of silly games, guess the animal noise? It was impossible to relax, again paid extra for deck 18 , but the noise was just as loud. Waiters and service in the restaurant was good, but quality poor, sent a meal back which reminded me of school dinners. Reception were unhelpful and not able to deal with the simplest of issue, delivering poor customer device. I spent 2 hours the evening before we left trying to correct my final bill , which I had been overcharged for a video I hadn't. Simple ? No , they asked me to take it up with the it man the morning we were departing. After queing for 30 mins we had to leave to get on the transfer coach. Which incidentally dropped us off 5 hours before departure time ! Lastly I was surprised to see children in the casino and disco at 1am in the morning. No adult areas on the ship. To finalise it's a real shame as customer service and lack of control really let the experience down. Also lack of flexibility on behalf of the company. Iam a vouger member and spent quite a lot on my on board account, but they couldn't adjust my bill and sort out a simple mistake on their behalf ( which was literally 10 euros) . I wouldn't use them again for Mediterranean cruise, not if you want to relax!
