At the end of last April my wife and I were looking at out vacation options both us wanted to return to Europe and after much searching we found this cruise as we actually wanted to travel the week prior but we were not able to book the package available for that cruise so we booked this cruise. What we actually booked was a 13 day vacation which included two pre cruise days in Copenhagen. So on September 12th we left our home and Maryland and made our way to Copenhagen.

After two days of touring in Copenhagen. We were dropped off at Copenhagen’s small cruise ship terminal. Since all but one of bus of guests check in was very quick. After giving a credit card to pay for our on board purchases and the now standard norovirus questionnaire. We were on board unlike most of the major cruise ship terminals we have sailed form this one did not have the usual boarding bridges so we boarded at dock level. After boarding we made our way to our cabin to drop off our carry on bags. We then made our way to the market café for lunch. After lunch we headed back to our cabin where our bags were delivered in record time. After unpacking we made our way to the Stardust Theater for a very quick life boat drill. After the drill we made our way to the sail away party. After the party we explored the ship and decided for our first night’s dinner we would try out Jade which was the ships Asian Fusion restaurant which was very good. After dinner we retunred to our cabin which we found to be one of the smaller cabins we have had to finish unpacking. One thing you may want to bring with you is a power strip as the cabin does not have enough outlets for all of your devices. After unpacking we went to the Welcome aboard show which featured performances from the Other Guys, Graffiti Classics and Aurelie.

The show also featured our Cruise Director Ben giving a summary of the nationalities on board the ship for this cruise. After the show we got a late night snack and the off to bed as tomorrow was the first of 5 port calls.

The cabin was one of the smallest cabins that we ever had on a cruise the room had adequate storage. One of the largest showers we have had on a cruise. Since the outlets are limted I would recommending bringing a power strip.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We had an outstanding two day tour of Copenhagen including a visit to Europe's oldest Amusement park Tivoli Gardens

Rostock (Warnemunde)

The tour including the transfer by express train was outstanding. Our guide Burkhart in Berlin was one of the best guides we ever had

Tallinn

We had an outstanding tour including a visit to Rakvere Castle.

St. Petersburg

We found the tours to be rushed and that the tour guide while quite informed with Russion Art and History was not very good with keeping the group together.

Stockholm

Terrific city tour the only problem was that the tour was too short.

Stockholm

Museum was amazing the inly problem was our visit was too short
