When we purchased the package it was thru the Bahamas Celebration Cruise line. Evididently it had run aground in 2014 and launched in 2015 as Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and operates the ship Grand Celebration. Of course no one told of us any of this so when we scheduled it we ran into all sorts of "time sharing" requirements that were not part of the original package. After numerous calls and discussions we were able to get back to the original agreement and checked in with the Ft. Lauderdale Ramada Inn to pick up the boarding passes. Upon arrival we were ushered into a room for a sales pitch but after checking the computer we were ushered out just as quickly.
The information that was provided differed with what was online and many of the rules & regulations apparently changed. There was an 8 page set of them once you did your online checkin. One of them was no longer to they take your passport and issue you a reciept is but one. THe customer center although friendly was very tiresome but persevered. We caught a $20.00 pp shuttle over to the port of palms When we registered online, one of our guests going with us, had a problem with the birthdate. Although, service was able to fix it so we could board they were confused as to why we hadn't been notified beforehand especially since we were within 48 hours.
Another line and wait. During the drizzle weary morning we were offered a deck upgrade from deck 5 to deck 8 & a $50 cash certificate if we sat thru (yet again) another vacation time share pitch. We decided, ah what the heck, why not. While interesting we opted against putting out $2k without doing thorough research. We were upgraded to Deck 8 but they reneged on the $50.00.
