We are an active couple in our early 60s and have taken 12 RCCL cruises, and 13 with other lines. We are Taking the time to write this to help fellow travelers since we look at reviews when we cruise. Oasis was a fun, family cruise with 11 of us ranging from 20 months, 4 years, thirty-somethings, us, and nana who is 88. Everyone had a good time and the ship really didn't feel crowded for 6,000 passengers. There was enough room, pool lounge chairs, and spread-out activities that there were just groups at each, not massive numbers. We enjoyed the Grande diningroom, and our waiter and asst. waiter were fabulous at getting the children's dinner without waiting for the rest of us to order and take our time. Our cabin steward, James, was very attentive. We were in 10560-70. The ship is clean and well-appointed, and the shows were great (except for CATS which is 3 hours long and boring). We especially enjoyed the comedy show and ice show and aqua theater hi-dive. Be sure to make reservations EARLY, at least a month before sailing. This is one thing we don't like. The big ship is similar to Disneyworld where you have to reserve shows and restaurants well before traveling. Smaller ships you just show up when you want to. The other part we didn't like is that our favorite bar lounge, THE VIKING CROWN, is now a suites-only private club. On other ships we always hung out there for a drink and to enjoy the panoramic view and sunset from the top of the ship.

Regarding excursions, we did not do any thru RCCL. Since we have been there before, on Cozumel we just took a 10 minute cab ride to Mr. Sanchos beach for the $55 all-inclusive day with unlimited food, fabulous margaritas, and swim up bar and sandy beach activities. In Falmouth, we shopped around the port, and spent a few hours at Margaritaville (pool and fun activities) right next to the ship. Labadee is just a beautiful relaxing day on the beach, don't bother with the zip line since it wastes hours for just one ride and costs over $100. Just walk to "Nellie's Beach" and swim and relax. All in all, it was a fun cruise but we prefer a smaller ship.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Good location, always clean and quiet. Love having a balcony. Quite a bit of hidden storage areas and cubbies. Keep empty suitcases under bed.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Loved the peaceful beach day on "Nellie's Beach"

Falmouth

Just shopped around the port, and spent a few hours at Margaritaville next to the ship

Cozumel

Took a taxi on our own about 10 minutes to Mr. Sanchos Beach for an all-inclusive beach day. Perfect for couples or families. Kids under 4 free.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Parked in cruise lot for the week which was expensive ($120) and not even a covered garage.
