I really wish I had paid more attention to Social Studies and History when I was in school. As well I wish my short term memory was better. This cruise through parts of Greece and Turkey was really something. We went on a good number of excursions all of which we enjoyed thoroughly. I had been told that a highlight would be Ephesus (Kusadasi) in Turkey and it was certainly that. Santorini in Greece was something to see as we sailed into port. It was almost like a painting of buildings on a cliff wall.

On board the ship we found the Constellation to be minimally crowded - probably most so at the fresh made pasta bar - and there was a lot of clean, comfortable public space. Our room was 9067 and it was a nicely laid out room with a bit of extras as we were booked in Aqua2Class. Eating in Blu was very enjoyable and we had a nice opportunity to get to know the staff. We also at one night in the Oceans and three nights in Tuscan. I liked the menu in Oceans, but there was not much on it for my wife, so we chose to go just the one time. This is my second cruise with Celebrity and I have a real liking for el Baccio coffee bar. The mini desserts suit me and the coffee drinks are always good. From the first day, I had a fun time chatting with April who kept both my wife and I quite satisfied with his service for the whole trip.

No fault of Celebrity, but our embarkation was not what we wanted as our plane had to fly BACK to the mainland after being two hours out into the Atlantic. Fortunately the problem was bathrooms not flushing and not engines not working. This meant we got to Istanbul many hours after we were supposed to and simply got on the ship without exploring. We didn't explore Istanbul again on our return as there had been a terrorist attack that killed many people in the capital the day before so we were advised to stick near the hotel.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class Balcony

Cabin A2

The room was nicely laid out and though the closet doors were a bit tight to the bathroom door, a bit of in cabin communication between my wife and I kept things in order. The shower was very nice - a good size and quite an interest set of nozzles! My wife was a bit unhappy with the location as we were across from a staff work area and the door would bang as early as three in the morning keeping her awake. Perhaps if that would be a concern for you, it is good to look at the deck plan to see where you might like to be.
