My husband and I cruised the Dawn on January 17th Eastern Caribbean and had a fabulous week. We flew non stop from Boston to Miami on Friday the 16th and took a taxi to the Miami Hilton Downtown (85.00 on priceline, 104 with all the taxes) I don't remember the cost of the taxi..around $20.00 I think. The Hilton is located on the north side of town, not near anything to walk to, however the Doubletree across the street has restaurants, coffee shop and a few little shops that appeared quite nice. We took the Metromover to Bayside, about a mile away, and had dinner at Bubba Gumps.Metromover was great going over to Bayside, but a little too deserted upon returning to the hotel. In retrospect, we probably should have taken a taxi, but it turned out fine. We found our way back to the hotel OK.

The Hilton was more than satisfactory, with free wi fi in the public areas, and nice views from the room. We left the hotel at 11:30 and went outside with our luggage to find a taxi. We were offered a seats in a shared van,($6.00pp) which we accepted and were off the the pier. Embarkation was fast. The lines moved quickly, and we were welcomed on board at 12:45 with champagne. We ditched the bags in Dazzles lounge and were off to Venetian for lunch.

This was our 11nth cruise, 9nth with NCL. We had no particular agenda for this cruise other than enjoying a relaxing week of vacation away from the blackberry and laptop and eating at LeBistro at least twice during the week.
