Got to San Juan took taxi to hotel $20 plus tip

Stayed at Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. Check in was 4pm but roon was ready when we got there at 1:30. Checkout is 11am, asked for a late checkout. They asked if 1pm was ok. All staff was friendly cheerful and helpful.

Ate lunch at punk burger on Ashford. Rated high on trip advisor. When walked there looked like place not even open. Had there punk burger $6 and local beer Medalla $2. It was the best burger I have had in years.. strongly recommend.

Ate dinner and breakfast next day at orazolas?? Good service good food reasonable prices.

Did St John's trunk bay on our own...

Took taxi from port to red hook ferry to go to st John's. $10 pp plus tip. Took 45 minutes get to ferry taxi make 2 other stops at beaches. Took ferry for $7 pp or $14 pp round trip, takes 20 minutes. Took taxi to trunk bay $6 pp plus tip. $4 pp to enter trunk bay. Was wonderful snorkeling. Lots colored fish all sizes. Popular snorkeling place. They do rent chairs snorkeling equipment. I heard $50 deposit for chairs that are lawn chairs and tiny umbrella. Don't know cost to rent. Have snack bar for sandwiches burgers etc. Taxi back cruise bay for ferry.. $6 took 20 minutes, ferry 20 minutes. Leaves every hour. Got there 3 minutes after the hour but could board cuz had bought round trip ticket before. Otherwise would had wait an hour. Taxi back to ship was maybe 20 minute.. no stops.

Took taxi to one of our favorite beaches.. boatyard.. $6 pp p us tip

At boatyard cost is $12 pp gets you 2 beach chairs, large umbrella. 2 Alcoholic drinks and free ride back to ship . Water is pristine. Clearest I have seen and sand is fine white. Have a pier you can jump off and a rope swing. Got trampoline float and for fee can snorkel with turtles.

Did island tour and volcano mud bath before, this time just did little shopping spent rest day on ship

Took taxi to Marriott on frigate bay. Be careful of taxis from cruise port. Told us at port the charge was $12 to Marriott. The taxi driver tried to charge $12 a person. Doorman at Marriott straighten out the taxi driver . Actually doorman got upset with driver for trying to rip us off.

We got a day pass at Marriott for $35 that got us use of their beach umbrella 2 chairs and their 3 swimming pools. The grounds are beautiful. Beach is on Atlantic side so wave were big but the resort has break wall .

Took taxi from cruise port to orient beach for $8 pp as was 5 people in taxi. Otherwise would been $10 each. Dropped off at bikini beach. Walked down beach couple hundred feet and got umbrella and 2 chairs with cushions for $20 , beautiful white sand and all water activities you want, jet ski, banana boat, para sailing. The taxi back was $20 plus tip since only 2of us.
