Been on several cruises and this was my favorite ship. Easy to find venue locations and love the promenade concept with various eateries to just sit at and relax. Lots of comfy places to just hang out. Saturday Night Fever show was really good and enjoyed ice skating show. The singers and dancers were above Carnival level. Headliners were average except a group called the Un something Boys that were a group of Broadway performers who had great voices and very enjoyable. Balcony room was nice and plenty of room for two of us.
Dining room food was way above average. Windjammer room for all day casual dining was normal with wide variety of average food. After 5 days you have sampled just about all choices. Very nice employees in all areas. Cruise director was the best ever...not the usual hokey guy. Think his name was Dru Pavlov (know the last name is right). He was funny and friendly and seemed to be truly enjoying his job. He's worked for RC for over 15 years.
We were unable to go to St. John's due to tide but felt very satisfied w the itinerary. Plenty of time to do excursions at all ports, which we did, and not all were booked thru RC. Highly recommend the bike tour thru Acadia. Leaves had not changed colors (darn) but it was beautiful 60 - 70 weather the entire trip. Can't control nature! Ship pools were nice (no solarium pool) but too cold on this trip. Excellent fitness center that was quite large on very front of ship w great view. Many took advantage of the numerous hot tubs.
Great tour guide and we also took a walk around Harvard.
Rented car (cheap) and explored the island on our own.
