Generally a pleasantly designed ship but has many choke points which jam with guests: notably elevators and exit-entry points . Planning and timing of events results in major crowd jams – e.g. when diners and theatre goers must all change ends of the ship at 9PM.
• Very few decks extend for the length of the ship. Almost all traffic must use deck 5 to go from front to back and this is the same deck with nearly all entertainment which is largely in the path of traffic. Insufficient elevators to accommodate this
• Many paths on through decks (5 and 9) are blocked by pillars which further constrains passage
Good cabin with lots of storage. Tiny entry door - not possible to get a small wheelchair in or a portly person. OK once inside.
Private tour easily arranged to Tarquina and Tuscania - interesting small towns near the port of Civitavecchia.
Walked around port and downtown. Only tours were not for those not able to walk distances or stairs. Those tours listed as simple or to small communities nearby were not given. Walkable area near port was picturesque.
Got on and off at Barcelona and enjoyed city on our own.
