  3. Viking Star
The Viking Star is a beautiful ship. The experience signing in at the port was smooth and efficient. When we arrived on-board in Barcelona we were greeted by friendly staff, our bags were awaiting us in our room. The cabin was clean and spacious with a veranda. The cabin attendant kept our room spotless. What was especially appreciated was the daily delivery of the Viking News which included news about the ports were were entering, the exchange rates, and information about various events about the ship. The food and service were excellent no matter which restaurant we choose to dine in each evening. The entertainment was exceptional, with local entertainers brought in from certain ports, lectures were interesting and informative, the ships's band, dancers and singers were terrific. We participated in many shore excursions. While the majority of them were very good, there were some hiccups which were disappointing. But overall, it was great to visit the various sites with interesting tour guides. The disembarkation was so well organized and efficient in Venice, I was really impressed. I thought we would have a hassle finding our luggage, but they were laid out in the port and we found them easily. We had an after-cruise tour to Verona, Bologna and Florence where we were able to see the countryside from the coach bus, visited various sites in each city and ate at delicious local restaurants. Our tour guide and driver were excellent and very caring and friendly. We were taken to Rome for our departure, and our tour guide monitored our departure though the airport. It was a wonderful trip and one we will never forget.

Cabin Review

Cabin 5026
The cabin was very comfortable with ample space. The cabin was on the starboard side and we woke up to seeing views of the country as we sailed along. We had fresh water daily, and our cabin attendance kept everything clean and sparkling. The shower was refreshing. There was ample drawer space and amenities in the bath.
