Sail Date: Oct 2015

We sailed on the Liberty of the Seas on the October 3rd sailing. We were supposed to head to Bermuda, but received a call from the cruise lines letting us that that there was a change in the itinerary and that our only stop would be Saint John, New Brunswick with the remaining days at sea.

I think it was a good call. I know that sailing through 90ft waves would have terrified me. DH and I decided to make the best of it and if anything, we could relax and enjoy all of the amenities the ship has to offer. RCCL did their best to ensure the happiness of their passengers and the onboard credit was a nice concession as well. First of all, my hubby decided to splurge this cruise and upgrade to a suite - I suppose you could say, he could not have picked a better time to upgrade. What a surprise! We enjoyed spending time in the room and on the balcony just relaxing and making the most of what we could have perceived as a huge disappointment. My philosophy, life is short – make the best of every day.

Embarkation – Speedy and the new cruise terminal is lovely. Being Platinum members, we had priority embarkation. I think it took approximately 20-30 minutes to board. Boarding in my opinion was very fast and efficient.
