This was only our second cruise with Celebrity having mainly cruised with P & O. We have been to the Canaries several times before so this cruise was to get away for some warmer weather. The embarkation was smooth and well organised but the hurried glass of champagne when we boarded seemed unnecessary. Our balcony stateroom was fine, but lacked sensible drawer capacity, the bed overhead lockers were inconvenient, my wife had to stand on the bed to reach them.

The dining and food was probably the best we have experienced in 12 cruises and was marred only be the absurdity of serving a single scallop of approximately 20 cm on a large scallop shell as a starter selection, better not to have served it at all!

Service and attention from the crew throughout the ship was excellent.
