We are experienced cruisers. This trip was 13 nights down to the Canaries from Southampton on Celebrity Eclipse in a veranda Stateroom, deck 7, returning 10th October. The weather was good and the seas very calm.

The ship was in excellent condition all pristine with no tired bits and the cabin was also very good with good houseboys/girls. The lack of a laundry room was a pain. Food was generally good but in the evening it was not hot enough and the main courses were sometimes disappointing. The self-service tea/coffee stations were not designed or managed properly. Service was excellent, particularly in the evening with our fixed dining. Ships officers were unfriendly/absent.
