My wife and I got back on Oct 9th after 14 nights on Britannia after visiting The Azores, Canaries, Madeira, Lisbon and Vigo. We are seasoned cruisers and have sailed with P&O on 6 previous occasions. We chose this cruise, not for the ports of call, which we have visited before but to sample the newest addition to the P&O fleet.
The embarkation and disembarkation processes went very well with minimum delays, amongst the best we have experienced at Southampton. We boarded the ship at 15:30 and went straight to our cabin where our luggage was waiting. We had a balcony cabin on F deck and was surprised how small it was including the balcony. We have a bathroom in our caravan larger than we had in the cabin.
The ship has two major entertainment venues (Brodies (the pub) and the theatre, both are totally inadequate for the number of passengers on board. If you were not seated in the pub by 8:00 pm then no seat. We always went to the late show at the theatre but had to be seated at least 30 minutes prior to the show start to guarantee a seat.
