This itinerary includes departure from Copenhagen, Denmark, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, England (Portland, Falmouth, and Dover), Ireland (Cork, Dublin, and Belfast) and Scotland (Invergordon and Edinburgh). This was our 2nd embarkation at Copenhagen. Take the train from the airport to the Central Train Station near Tivoli Gardens to save an expensive cab fare. There are several hotels in this area (we recommend the Comfort Inn Vesterboro which is 2 blocks from the train station). Embarkation is easy here!

The Norwegian Star is a delightful ship (2400 passengers n 1000+ crew). Our 2nd time on this ship. We found the ship upgraded and remodeled just since last year. The main dining rooms are spacious, friendly, and excellent quality and food choices with little to no wait. The Market Buffet is a great option for diversity (every night is a different theme) and all you can eat!

Our inside cabin was perfect for our 12 night cruise. After all, we were so busy we only slept there! For smokers, the Star is very friendly with the port side of decks 12 and 7 being smoker friendly. Plenty of seating available in these areas, too.

Well layed out, functional, perfect for two average sized people.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Loved Cork! Took the tour to Blarney Castle and the Woolen Mills. Excellent tour!

Invergordon (Inverness)

Skip Loch Ness....the lake is virtually inaccessible and the 'Nessie' stop is just a tourist trap. Culloden was surprisingly interesting!
