this cruise was not up to the NCL usual standard. food was excellent and waiting staff also, as were the stewards, but found the rest of the staff lacking in customer service. Unfortunately we did have to put in a complaint about position of our cabin as we were right over the theatre and rehearsals went on very late i.e. 1.00 am one night, and started again early next morning. Customer services did contact us to apologise but it took them over 24hrs to do so, and we got a complimentary bottle of wine but will be very careful to find out where cabin is situated in the future.

Dress code was a bit lacking, jeans & shorts in the main restaurants? not on. Shore excursions were really a waste of money. The walking tour in Gaspe with Matt was interesting and fun even though it was the only day we had rain! but the highlights of Saganuey, well, that should be scrapped! a boring 2.5hrs in a bus with very short stops and nothing much to see. Charlottetown was the highlight, very pretty and lovely just to wander. Disembarkation. Never experienced one like it! hundreds of people crammed into the stairwell and corridors with hundreds more trying to join in from stairs and lifts and nobody moving for 1.5hrs. one member of staff with no radio contact and no information. eventually told only one gangway that was so steep they could only take one passenger at a time, wouldn't want to be last off! After 2hrs a lower gangway was opened but only after all the luggage was off. If anybody had been taken ill they wouldn't have stood a chance.

We know NCL can do better, but not on this occasion!

good size, well serviced, unfortunately positioned over the theatre and although not a problem when shows on, the rehearsals were really loud.
