Review for the Eastern Caribbean Cruise on Independence of the Seas

We sailed out of Ft.Lauderdale to San Juan. St. Maarten and St Kitt, Young Norweigian captain on this ship was extremely concerned with Hurricane Joacquin and kept up informed daily as to our new course to avoid any possible issues. Safety was the #1 concern and we as passengers were proud to sail with this fine staff. This was my 22nd cruise since the week after Hurricane Andrew, and the service of the staff was super!

We are young seniors enjoy RCCL. We have sailed recently on the Majesty of the Seas which I think is 77,000 tona versus this ship of about 140,000 tons. The smaller ships lack none of the beauty of the larger ships. We find the smaller crowds on the windjammer and on the stairways to the islands more peaceful.

The food for some reason on the Majesty was better than Independence, Of course, we had lobster on one night and all you can eat pizza 24 hours a day. Room service was great and coffee tasting delicious.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin N

Beautiful inside cabin with plenty of space. Bedding was soft and cabin steward was wonderful..Saved the excess $$ versus a porthole or balcony... Did not regret this inside cabin.
