We were unfortunate enough to be on the Carnival Pride during a hurricane. I know Carnival has no control over the weather but they do have control over how they treat their guests while on board and after. We were only able to get off the cruise for a few hours in Grand Turk and the other 2 ports were cancelled. They did not have many activities for the guests stuck on the boat other than spending money in the casino.

We also had a lot of issues with staff being rude and unhelpful. Our ac in the room was not working well and it took 2 days for them to try to fix it and we ended up w a box fan in our room and a $20 credit. We also got room service one night and my daughter (7) spoiled chocolate milk. The staff proceded to tell us my daughter must be wrong because all there milk stays cold. When they finally came to the room and we showed them they apologized. It was just 7 days of rude staff.

Carnival was gracious enough to give us 50% off this cruise and 50% off a future cruise. The problem is they will only give it to us in gift cards for Carnival since this is how we paid. My entire family (11 people) used gift cards to purchase the cruise in order to get money off fuel at home. If we would have known we would have paid cash for the cruise instead. My grandmother is in poor health and on a fixed income so she will be out the money.
