This was our third cruise with Carnival, the second on the Pride. While the crew, waiters and room valet were again top notch, we were disappointed by the quality of food in the formal dining room, the shows and the DJ in the Butterflies lounge. The food in the main dining room was horrible, the food in the buffet line was much better. Two nights I had to send back both the salmon and mahi mahi, and was not satisfied by the replacement pasta dishes I asked for.

The music played in the Butterflies Lounge was geared toward a younger crowd that twerked the night away, with dance moves that was definitely inappropriate in full view of ship security. Requests for a variety of other music was ignored by the DJ. The shore excursions to Grand Turk and Freeport were nice, both had good caribbean food. The entertainment was ok, but the shows were hit or miss. The quality of entertainment on previous cruises was much better. The burritto stand and Guy's burger joint were excellent. We especially loved the sun loungers, but you had to get up and get down there at 6 am when the area opened. Getting off and on was a breeze even though we got there early. The most important parts of the cruise, to us, was just not the same quality we've grown to expect from Carnival.
