  • Destination: Transpacific
  • Cabin Type: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing second cruise with RC for us. We had a superior ocean view balcony stateroom located Aft on deck 7. The room service was very good, clean towels and bed made every day.

We ate whenever possible in the main dining Cascades and found the food offering and service ( Franc & Ernesto) to be excellent so good in fact that we cancelled several speciality Restuarant bookings. We only ate in the windjammer when we couldn't access Cascades due to our own schedule not enabling us to do so.

The entertainment on this cruise was sensational, hats off to the team involved (entertainment director Steve) with this we had a great variety of shows, 3 stage productions, comedians, allusionist (Leo ward) hypnotist, Theatre Actor singer (Michael Cormick), etc all high quality acts, sorry I cant recall all of the names but you all throughly entertained.

The only minor gripe was Rita's cantina and Izumi restaurant just purely the setup and no reflection on the staff , the locations for both restaurants were extensions of the windjammer and not devoted restaurants like the Rhpasody of the seas has. We also ate at Samba Brazilian grill which is a stand all be speciality restaurant and the quality of food and service was fantastic.

The tours that we selected were all good value for money. With every cruise its is essential that you keep in mind that the facilities all vary so do the staff and the demographics of the passengers. We also preferred the larger centrum design in Rhapsody. Overall Great value for money all relative to the price paid.

Great value and more than we expected including a cruise around the main lagoon, stopping to snorkel with stingrays and reef sharks in the shallow waters,

Then basic healthy light snack on a small private island, more snorkelling and then continued back to the marina. The locals operating the cruise kept us well informed and entertained . The excursion lasted about 3 hours return to the ship.

Our only gripe was RC tour desk on the ship told us that reef shoes weren't necessary, they absolutely are!

Pencarrow Station

The tour lasted about 5 hours. it was well worth it.

The title was City sites, ship wreck coats inc Pencarrow station.

We had a great bus driver who was very knowledgable and obviously loved his job.

the owners of Pencarrow were very hospitable, the tour inc tea, coffee, light lunch. We were dropped off in town and told it upon ourselves to go up the cable car to the observatory & tea house.

Great way to see a lot of Wellington in a day.
