I have sailed on NCL, RCL and Carnival. This was my second time cruising on Carnival and I was excited because my motto is a bad day on a cruise is better than a good day at work. In my 18 years of cruising I have never had a probleming finding something decent to eat ...that is until I cruised on the Carnival Breeze on 9/20/2015. After 3:30 it was nearly impossible to find food to eat...with the exception of Guy's Burgers or Pizza. I loved the burgers however, My arteries can take only so many burgers in one week. Breakfast, at the market place (Lido DecK) was agonizing because the lines were sooo long. I only had breakfast in the Marketplace on the first morning and that was it for me. My family and I decided to go Blush Dining room for breakfast for the remainder of our cruise. That was a major improvement from the chaotic MarketPlace.

For Dinner, we decided to do My Time Dining (not a fan). First of all each night you had to wait on a line just to get a table and if they ware really busy you get a pager. After a few days of waiting on long lines or sending my husband done early to request a table we decided to have dinner every night at 6:30pm. The servers in the Blush Dining Room were friendly (some more than others Haskell, Rudolf and Markley were awesome). However, I found the service in the dining room to be very slow. There was one night our head waiter did not have anyone else helping him at all. It is quite noticeable that they are short on staff. The food was mediocre except, for the lobster tail.

During the two days that we were at sea we tried Jimmy Seaside BBQ which tasted good however, passengers have to stand on a long line in the sun but, it was worth the wait. The only thing about Jimmy's Seaside BBQ is that its only open for about 2 hours. My biggest issue with the cruise was after a day in port when passengers returned to the everything (Market Place, Dinning Rooms, Jimmy's Seaside BBQ, Blue Iguana's etc) was closed except for Guy's Burgers and the Pizza place or room service. While on this cruise I couldn't help but to reminisce about how cruising use to make you feel special. I remember when your waiter would pull out the chair for us ladies, I remember the assistant waiters coming around and asking you what type of bread would you like (on this cruise the bread basket is simply placed on the table). In the past the assistant waiter would also ask you what type of drink would you like (cranberry, lemonade or ice tea) not on this cruise. We had to ask for lemonade and a pitcher of water was placed on the table after the waiter filled up everyone's glass with water.

I have been cruising for the past 18 years and my room steward was quite friendly and he made a point to remember everyone's name. We saw him at least once a day and our room was well taken care of.
