My husband and myself are seasoned cruisers - having cruised both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, Europe, Mexico, Hawaii, the Mediterranean and Caribbean. We've cruised on some of the most beautiful, largest, newest and much of everything in between as far as ships go.

Having read the cruise critic reviews concerning the older ship, the Norwegian Jewel - at first we were hesitant to book, but decided to move forward on this last minute choice or a week long cruise. The entire experience has endeared us to Norwegian, and in the future it will definitely be on our list as a future choice for a cruise line.

Yes, the ship is older, it's not the biggest, nor is it the smallest cruise vessel we've sailed. It was given a face lift in the last five years which brightened it up, laying new carpets in the staterooms, new facades, etc.

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

G-R-E-A-T - [Larger room, new features, comfortable, plenty of storage, etc.]

Location, service, amenities in the room, superb bedding, bar/expresso coffee machine, etc. The attached balcony at the very front of the ship was amazing, with full sun, no wind, unobstructed views from side to side and directly in front. totally relaxing!

Loved being able to be served by our butler on our balcony with linens, flowers, food ordered from specialty restaurants at will - excellent.
