We live in Kansas so every cruise starts with a flight. We fly in the night before. If it`s in country we fly Southwest. Shuttled between the hotel in Ft. Lauderdale and the airport twice. Then caught a shuttle to the Miami cruise port.We have been on several cruises on different lines. 14 to be exact. We were traveling with friends. Actually one was our TA and her husband. This was our first cruise on MSC. Did not know what to expect. No need to worry. Ship is beautiful. Crew was first rate. Food was wonderful. Unlike some people we did not mind that it took time to eat dinner. Ports made no difference as we had been to all of them before. We were there to relax and enjoy. We shopped in Puerto Rico and walked around. Same in St Thomas. Got to the private island and chose to stay on board ship. We just aren`t beach people.

For the most part we really enjoyed the shows. Opera night was not for us. We go on MSC again we will pass on that night.

Disembarkation. (What a cumbersome word) was like any of the others we have endured. It`s the last thing you are going to do on your ship`s vacation. So not fun. But it was fine.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Large. Clean. Close to everything.

Port Reviews

Miami

Flew in. Stayed at a hotel that I don`t remember after a year.

St. Maarten

Walked around and bought a few things. Wives had fun getting all the freebees.

San Juan

Walked around here too. Since it was our third time here we had seen what had interested us. Did visit a butterfly store. That was pretty cool.

Great Stirrup Cay

Since we did not get off the ship there isn`t anything to review.
