We joined the ship in Istanbul. Embarkation was quick and smooth. Don't expect any kind of welcome in board; no senior staff or welcome drink. The ship is beautiful and the service and house staff really do a great job. Senior staff are conspicuous by their absence. For a ship of this size you would expect them to be more visible, but they are not. The food was excellent in all venues. The entertainment was generally ok too, except the "night club". Handing round an iPad for people to choose their own music lead to a haphazard playlist that resulted in a mostly empty dance floor and club. Whilst we had a thoroughly enjoyable cruise, we did have an issue with wine availability. We took out the wine package, but from day 3 certain wines became unavailable. By day 4, they ran out of three of the wines and we struggled to get prosecco in some of the bars. This situation lasted until the penultimate day of the cruise!! We have never been on a cruise where they have run out of wine!! In addition to running out of some of the wines, they also run out of breakfast tea and some cereals?! You really do have to question their back office supply chain process.

Enjoyable but a Few Glitches
