I have my travel agent's licence - and can be very critical at times... and I honestly can say this is one of the more organized, friendly ships I have ever been on! We had a great group of peeps- from 49 to 80 years old, and the ship offered something for everyone.
Embarkation was a breeze- we arrived at 12:30 via a private transfer and were on board within 10 minutes. First sign of being out of the country is the restrooms are marked WC (water closet). 2 pools- and the main pool has a Big Screen TV with info of the ship during the day, and 1st rate movies at night. Only complaint is the lack of desk chairs- there definately is NOT one per person on board. If you do not get out to the pool by 10 am- you will not get one that day. Day 9 at sea was a tasty BBQ at the pool with great ribs and music.
Fitness Room- state of the art equipment and large. We worked out every day and enjoyed looking out to sea while exercising. Showers and Steamroom down the stairs.
Shared a suite with 2 girlfriends and we had MORE than enough storage room. The bathroom had a full tub- and a string across for washing out clothes (which is a plus since there is no public laundry room aboard), The balcony was large- had 3 chairs and a table and we ate breakfast alot on the balcony. We had 2 Stewards-Daniel the 1st few days before he left for vacation in Brazil, then Edwin R. BOTH guys were great! Since we knew of the change we opted to tip the cabin steward daily. No clock in the room. Out of 42 channels, only 4 were in English which was suprising since we were told there were over 1500 guests on ship- and 724 were English speaking (US, UK, Canada and Ireland). Not very many children since it was Mid September.
