I was a little worried about booking onto the Celebration, having been more used to the larger P&O Ventura. However, the smaller ship and the whole first-time Thomson experience exceeded my expectations.
We had a balcony cabin on deck 5. It was perfectly located as the Coffee Port was about 6 steps away and it was so convenient having the rest that deck 5 has to offer on our doorstep. In future I would choose these balcony cabins rather than the ones on deck 9.
Contrary to many other reviews, these cabins did have English electric sockets (4 I think), and not European or US ones.
Within a block of 6 newly-created balcony cabins (used to be the cinema) in a very accessible part of deck 5, right next to the Coffee Port and the shops. There was loads of room around the beds. We had more than enough storage - two wardrobes and two floor-to-ceiling shelving systems. There was then a big dressing table, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, huge mirror and a further 5 drawers (in addition to bedside tables). We had a bath and plenty of storage in the bathroom with Clarins toiletries.
The balcony was quite small with only one sunbed and 2 chairs and table. On this itinerary (Dubrovnik, Brindisi, Hvar, Valletta and Messina) the starboard balcony was mainly on the sea side as we docked.
The walls are quite thin with noise from either side but still managed to sleep well on the lovely feather pillows.
