Budapest to Bucharest was a great trip itinerary. Stay in Romania was especially good with extension up to Brasov. Distance into cities which we thought we would actually be docked inside was disappointing. Cruise Director programs were really good. Food was below cruise ship quality. Tours were good, but some of the tour guides were very poor.

Home tour in Croatia was fantastic. Serbia and Western Bulgaria were depressing; Eastern Bulgaria very impressive. Scenery was really fantastic. Cruise ship staff on Embla was good, but not as good as on preceding cruise on Alsvin. Hotels in Budapest, and Bucharest were quite good as was Brasov. The Director for Extension in Romania was exceptional in his knowledge, helpfulness, and desire to teach you about the area.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Adequate. Not as nice as on later generation Long Ship Alsvin, although the toilet on Embla worked much better than on Alsvin.
