This was our third cruise, but our first with Royal Caribbean having previously sailed with Celebrity and Cunard, both in the past 12 months. We very much enjoyed our cruise on the Anthem and would recommend her to friends, although would probably try a different ship next time just for the variety of experience. For us choosing a cruise just depends on what's going where and when and if they have an attractive deal at the right time that suits our needs.

I'm going to split my review into the good and not so good points as we saw them, but be aware that for us the good points far outweighed the bad points. I'm just hoping that Royal Caribbean may read this and see there's a couple of areas that have room for improvement in our opinion.

Good points :-

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin met all our needs and our attendant Adolf was a lovely guy, always cheerful, helpful and polite.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Used ABParking. Worth the extra few £s as we were right in front of the ship and only had to walk across the road to board.

Gibraltar

We went up to the rock by cable car and then came back down again after a couple of hours. The monkeys are fascinating, if a little over confident and the caves were beautiful.

Marseille

A very pretty port, we got a bus from the ship into the marina (there was a charge for this) and then we walked up to the church on the hill. Lovely views, but a lot of hills. Well worth the effort though.
