Traveled with children

We are seasoned cruisers mainly CCL & RC and we decided to try an entirely different line to celebrate mom's birthday. MSC was offering a fly/cruise/hotel/ package that fit our budget; 7adults and 2 children. Ms Divina is certainly a DIVA ship, no way to find any fault with the ship. Let's start at the beginning.

Booking: we went through a travel agent and that helped a lot. Confusion came when our flight info was on the invoice it read Birtish Airway - operated by American Airline. Since we had to do our own checkin and seat selection it became fuzzy. Clear direction for who to contact & that process happened was frustrating.

EMBARKMENT: after an 8hr flight from JFK we had hoped this part would be simple-NOT. Unlike previous cruises lines, MSC embarks & disembarks guest at each port. There was such confusion at the cruise terminal-not organized at all. The only other downfall was the pool area for the children. MSC definition of kids pool resembled a wading moat-like structure and was intergrated with the adults-NOT GOOD! No water games or interactive features. Best feature was staff-very friendly. Spa area - get a massage and facial.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Our stateroom was well decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and the shower door kept all the water out. Engery saver-keeping room key in the wall slot near door allowed lights to stay on - if you remove lights off. Nice view from balcony everyday.
