This was our 26th cruise and it was disappointing. It seems that Royal Caribbean's clientele has really changed and not for the better so has their attitude towards dining. Those of us who have sailed on RCL over the years will know what I'm referring to. We arrived at 12:15 and the only pleasurable experience was the embarkation. Since we are Diamond members check in was a breeze. It took all of 5 minutes. However, when we went to the Windjammer for lunch, IT WAS CLOSED due to over crowding! We had to wait a 1/2 hour before they opened it up again. This was a first. Half the ship's crew were friendly the other half weren't.

Now for the dining part. At our first formal night people were actually dressed in shorts, tank tops and flip flops. Not exactly a classy sight. I was once turned away from entering the dining room for breakfast for wearing a tank top shirt on Celebrity and I was happy they did. When I questioned the Head Waiter he told me they are copying Carnival's casual dining. I told him that was unfair to the people who took the time and effort to dress appropriately and if a person wants casual dining they should go to the Windjammer. I also told him that RCL should not be lowering their standards but raising them.

The Windjammer's food was so so. They seem to serve the same food everyday with little variation. The Main Dining room had a good variety but the portions were very small. They cut out serving shrimp cocktail everyday and had to ask for additional dinner rolls after they served them the first time.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Average, we had to ask to replenish the shampoo and conditioner everyday. Other than that it was well kept.
