This Cruised didn't start well for us as we come from long Island and we weren't informed that the Bayonne Bridge was under construction and may be closed. Well it was closed on our departure day and I don't know my way around N.J. city, after following a detour for what seemed like 15 miles we were lost, after getting directions for some helpful locals we finally found an alternative route, what normally would take 1 1/2 hr took 3 hrs a very frustrating experience that could of been avoided by a simple email. The Cruise line I'm sure WAS aware of this and could have sent us a simple Email advising us of this problem, I'm sure if our credit card was declined they would contacted us.

The good thing about being a late arrival was that there were no lines to wait on, we were on the ship in about 10 minutes. Since this was our 33rd Cruise, 4th with Celebrity, we know what to expect, we have sailed on both brand new ships and 15 year old ships and many in between . This was when we noticed a unusual smell in our cabin.

This was our 26th wedding anniversary and my wife and I decided to renew our wedding vows by the captain on board the ship. The captain was a great guy and very friendly, and easy to talk to, the Vow renewal process went mostly well, a nice private ceremony in BLU. [675.00] There were a few glitches as they had the wrong cake, and we weren't informed that we could have brought our own Music on a iPod, other than that it went well.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A2

We had a problem with our cabin, the tile in the shower floor was missing a few tiles, so when you took a shower water would actually get under the tile floor, this caused a odor of what may have been mold. we reported this to the main desk, they kept calling and claiming that someone was going to fix it, but on the 5th day they called and offered us a future cruise credit [250.00]

I wasn't looking for a credit I wanted the problem repaired, a more careful inspection showed the wooden outer walls around the shower were swelling from being wet [have pics] AVOID this room.

Other than that problem the room was OK, came with nice robes and was of typical size for a balcony room.
