Sail Date: May 2015

This was the inaugural cruise for this ship. Although the overall experience was very good, there were a few minor mishaps. Most involved the shore excursions where this was their first time in these ports and the coordination with shore transportation produced delays and overall confusion. The ship itself is beautiful and the crew was terrific. The cabins were spacious and the bathrooms had heated floors. Food was excellent.

While the ships activities were typical of what you would expect on a river cruise, they were somewhat lacking when compared to typical ocean cruises. Much of the entertainment was educational lectures and guest speakers.

When we booked the cruise we were told that we would spend two days in Paris and two days in London. As the cruise date approached, the itenerary changed to include one day in each city and two extra sea days. This was due to low tides on the rivers leading up to those cities. They did provide us with significant credits, which we have used to book another cruise, but limited our time in those ports.
