We made the northern transatlantic crossing, starting in Copenhagen. Ports of Call were Oslo and Kristiansand, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Denmark, 3 days in Iceland, Halifax, Canada and ending up in Port Liberty N.Y.

We know the ships class very good, because Serenade was the last of this class for us.

We travelled the Brilliance, Radiance and Jewel before and it´s our favorite ships class.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

The cabin was really clean, I checked it very good, because I´ve heard from other people, that they were not satisfied with the cleaning.

Ours was perfect for the whole cruise. The AC was not good, one bed was in the wind of the AC, the other got not enough cooling. They could not fix it.

Closets are big enough for a 17 day cruise. Our stateroom attendant seprerated the beds, so we had more space in the middle and could put our luggage under the beds.

We had a sofa, which we also used for putting our bags on it. The tv was not in good shape. It was hard to change the programs and the use of the internal system for watching your account was really difficult.

Port Reviews

Oslo

We walked by ourself through Oslo, we love this city more and more.

This time we also visited the city hall from inside, a must see. And the new part oppisite to the pier. A modern promenade, with wonderful cafes and restaurants and a lot of seats and free Wifi.

Kristiansand

We booked a car with Avis. But the station was so far away from the new port, that it took 35 minutes to walk with high speed during rainshowers. We asked the nice guy at Avis, if we could reach the parts of southern Norway, we wanted to see. And he said no and gave us the chance to cancel the car.

So we walked around this small and nice city, but with all this rain we could not enjoy it.
