I have travelled on royal carribbean, many carnival ships and now noreweigan. First off i give thumbs up for the entertainment. Shows on other boats were just okay. I felt like i was paying to see shows in vegas. The singers and dancers, to high swinging acrobatics, magic shows, and second city comedy acts were all superb. There was plenty of activity on board for non sunny days. On non sunny days i enjoyed the hot tubs. Food choices were good.I tried all free restaurants. Beware that if you port out of boston or new york it is considered an american cruise so everything that is charged on ship is in american money. My 50.00 can only gave me 35.00 u.s.

I did miss the option of the movie screens that are on other boats. I brought a blanket in anticipation of watching movies outside. I booked private tours for most ports. For gaspe port i had no regret booking on ship the bonadventure boat ride. Was a highlight seeing all those birds and tons of seals on the rocks. Had time to walk the beach and make it to perce rock up close, another highlight. In la baie take the hop on and off bus for 20.00.There is an old mill and waterfalls the last stop in chicoutimi. I think taking the boat around the fjord would be good too. Nothing in the little town of la baie. Stay a extra day in old town, quebec its worth it. Do something to see boston before porting out, it is a safe, fantastic city. The other ports are amazing no matter what you choose to do. All in all was satisfied with this boat. Nothing new like the big ships have to offer but worth the money.
