Carnival flew us into Fort Lauderdale a day early and put us up at the Airport Hilton. Nice room and good service but way overpriced food......although it was good.

Embarkation: Contrary to other comments I've read here we had no problems getting on the ship. The bus took us to the port and dropped us off in front of the Splendor terminal at 12:30 PM. We were on the ship before 1 PM and at the buffet by 1:15PM. Absolutely a piece of cake. Carnival had 14 windows open to assist in the process.

Cabin: Lido deck, 9243 on the inside. The room was nice and the stewards did an excellent job of keeping it that way. It was nice to be able to just walk down the hall to the buffet and the two grills aft of the buffet. Other than some kids running up and down the hall late one night all was well in cabin 9243. And yes, we had towel figures on the bed five out of the seven nights.

Cabin Int

Very nice room with plenty of closet space. The bed was firm and comfortable and the room steward was excellent. The room was kept perfect all week.
