My wife and I just returned from a 5 night cruise on the Fascination to the Bahamas. We really had a good time and enjoyed the ship and its crew. We went down on Friday 9/11 and spent the night at the Jacksonville Plaza and Suites. It was a good cheap hotel. Not 5 star but not 5 star price either. Looking for a place to eat I checked on Tripadvisor and found a local eatery with good reviews, Ship 2 Shore Seafood. Located in the corner of a strip mall please don't let the looks fool you. This is some really good fresh seafood with outstanding service.

Saturday morning we arrived at the port parking lot at 10:35 ( I had paid for the parking online in advance). We had FTTF and quickly were checked in. We waited about 20 minutes for the 3 big wedding parties to board, then other priority passengers. We were in our room by 11:30. It was a cloudy dreary day, so we went and ate lunch at the buffet and took advantage of the outside dining. What a treat that is. We ate there serveral times. It is almost like having your personal balcony dining area. Our bags didn't arrive to our room till about 3:00. Muster drill took about 50 minutes?? Why ?

Ocean View

Cabin 6E

Located mid ship the room was typical cruise size, the king size bed was very comfortable.

I liked having the window (would prefer balcony). Bathroom small but functional. The a/c was cold. Would book it again.
