The Carnival Splendor was sold to us as a "party ship"! Two comments:

1. It was definitely NOT a party ship. (We are not spring chickens but the majority of the passengers on board had difficulty keeping up)

2. "Hurry up and wait" We took My Time Dining option. We had to wait 25 minutes on average to get seated and the service was extremely poor. Whist the food was generally good, it arrived luke warm. It was if they were short staffed. I complained to Customer Services and the Maitre'D spoke to me. He apologized but it did not get any better. On some occasions a number of diners were given pagers to let them know when a table was available. It turned out the system wasn't work. My advise. Do not take the My Time Dining option. Read more
