This was our first cruise with Celebrity having sailed for 11 years exclusively with RCI and we decided to try out the sister line as an alternative.

As a bit of background I will give you the details of our travel experience to the port as it will help explain why we think so highly of Celebrity who I believe will now be our cruise line of choice. Also this review is only about Constellation, not the ports in detail.

We flew with British Airways from Manchester, UK via London Heathrow to Rome the day before sailing on 9th September. Luckily we did travel the day before because due to a baggage system failure at Heathrow T5 BA did not place our checked bags onto our connecting flight from Heathrow to Rome. As a result we lost our hotel shuttle and arrived at our hotel 4 hours later than planned as it was suggested by airport ground staff to wait to see if our bags arrived on later flights from London, but as they didn't, we decided to grab a cab at an additional cost of €120 and arrived at 9:30 pm tired, disheveled and angry.
